Manchester United are reportedly making a move for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi after their attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels was rebuffed.

Manchester United to make a transfer move to Nicolas Otamendi of Valencia as Hummels approach fails

Manchester United have turned their heads to Spain after returning empty handed from Germany. Borussia Dortmund insisted that Hummels will stay at the club despite Jurgen Klopp leaving the club at the end of the season. United watched Hummels since a year and were approaching for the player but the clubs failed to agree a fee as the German outfit were adamant on keeping their star player.

United are now looking for Valencia’s defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentine defender will join his fellow international team mates Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo in case the move goes through. Valencia have said that they will need to trigger the release clause in order to agree personal terms and the fee of 35 million pounds is too big for United. Manchester based club are preparing 25 million pounds for the services of the center back.
