Real Madrid sack manager Carlo Ancelotti

Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti have been relieved off their duties as the season’s end did not go their way.

When Real Madrid won the La Decima and Copa Del Rey last season and continued with UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup this season, not much would have predicted Ancelotti will be sacked by the Real Madrid board. But despite losing the Champions League defense in semi-final with a marginal loss against Juventus and standing second behind Barcelona in the league table, Ancelotti has been sacked by Real Madrid. Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid spoke about the decision in a press conference yesterday. He said that the decision was a hard one and they will be appointing a new manager next week. Rafa Benitez, former Chelsea and Liverpool manager is said to be the favorite to take over and will be announced once the Spanish manager finishes off his contract with Napoli.
