FC Porto invite Bayern Munich to Portugal to play each other in an UEFA Champions League quarter final fixture.

This will be the third meeting between the sides after facing each other in UEFA Champions League 2000 fixture. Bayern Munich won the home match 2-1 and drew the away match by 1-1 back then. Porto won their recent league match against Rio Ave by 3–1 while Bayern comofrtably saw off Eintracht Frankfurt’s challenge by 3-0.

Team News:

Maracano is out suspended after picking his third booking in the last match. Maicon and Reyes will partner up in the center half position. Cristian Tello and Jackson Martinez are both huge doubts but might make it into the squad.

Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Arjen Robben are all out injured along with Bastian Scwhweinsteiger who is injured again after a brief spell on the pitch. Javi Martinez is nearing his return to game while Thiago might get his first Champions League start of the season.
