With five wins out of last five games, Manchester United are at the perfect time to face their city rivals Manchester City as they look to go 4 points clear ahead of City with a win.
Louis Van Gaal has seen better days in the Premier League after starting with Wayne Rooney up front as a striker. Rooney has returned the favor with goals and Manchester United have been performing better as a team as well. Ander Herrera is on the best form of his career with Juan Mata and Fellaini performing well too. United have won 10 out of their last 11 matches at home in the league this season and Manchester City might better the record if they fail to stop Van Gaal’s men.
Jonny Evans is the only player out of contention as he serves suspension for spit row with Papiss Cisse. Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones will partner at the back with not fully fit Chris Smalling getting a place in the bench. Carrick will play deep in the midfield while Ashley Young is expected to start ahead of Argentine winger Angel Di Maria.
