Manuel Pellegrini is under a huge pressure after facing defeat in three of the last five matches with Manchester City. City lost 2-1 to Liverpool, 1-0 to Burnley and recently lost away to Crystal Palace by 2-1. Pellegrini’s future is under a sheer doubt after failing to replicate early season form to the second part of the season and they have lost their position of title challengers to European place strugglers within few months. A win here will help Pellegrini’s cause of putting the pressure on teams above in the table.

Pellegrini will have little to worry about in the team as Wilfried Bony is the only absentee in the squad. The Ivorian is injured and wil miss out on what could have been his first Manchester Derby. Pellegrini however has Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic up front and should they play as per expectation, in form Manchester United will not be a bigger task to outdo.Elsewhere, Pablo Zabaleta might come in to replace Bacary Sagna in the right back spot.
