Real Madrid Transfer News: Illarramnedi exit looms

Asier Illarramendi is close to leaving Santiago Bernabau after failing to make most of his chances in last two years.

When Real Madrid signed Asier Illarramendi from Real Sociedad in a record fee of 32 million euros, much was expected from the youngster to emulate Xabi Alonso in the Madrid midfield. But after two years, all those expectations have been shattered hard and there are speculations that Asier wants his way out of the club after falling out of choice in the midfield battle against the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Isco and Sami Khedira.

Madrid will look to cash in on the midfielder as they have got lots of players in the similar position. Martin Odegaard, the 16 year old Norweigan is expected to come in to first team in few seasons while Brazilian Casemiro who is currently on loan at FC Porto is in good touch and will fight for a place for the first team next season in Bernanbau. If the right move comes, Liverpool might take a punt at signing the Spanish Midfielder.
