Luis Suarez’s return of form helping Barcelona to finish the season well

Barcelona’s mega summer signing Luis Suarez is showing his excellence as the season end nears.

When Luis Suarez left Liverpool to play for FC Barcelona, many thought that the attacker will struggle with the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar already in the attack for Catalan giants. To add up to the already controversial move, Suarez was set to first few weeks due to the ban he received for the biting incident against Chiellini in the World Cup. After Suarez made his debut with the club, he took time to settle in with the new team.

In the 23 matches Suarez has played for Barcelona, he has scored 13 goals and grabbed 10 assists. Suarez was used as a wide forwrd in initial stages of the season but the tactics did not work well so Luis Enrique switched the Uruguayan in more central role with Messi and Neymar in the wings. Suarez has scored 8 goals and assisted two goals in the last ten matches for Barcelona. Suarez’s performance against Rayo Vallecano in the 6-1 win was labelled one of the best individual performance in the league as well.
