Arsenal and Germany right back Hector Bellerin is on the verge of signing his first senior contract after series of impressive performances with senior team.
After Mathieu Debuchy picked up an injury against Stoke City after a push from Marko Arnautovic in an off the ball incident, all eyes were on Callum Chambers to yet again act as a cover for french international. But, Wenger was not thinking the same as others and he gave a rare chance to youngster Hector Bellerin. Since then, Bellerin has played in almost all the matches with few as substituted out. He also got his first Arsenal goal in the process when Aston Villa were thumped 5-0 at home.
Bellerin has already made 14 startsĀ for Gunners this term with 9 of them coming in the premier league. He alsi has made two substitute appearances for the team. Bellerin, known for his quick pace in the youth system is being given his first senior deal after handfull of impressive displays. This will also mean Carl Jenkinson, Arsenal’s on loan defender at West Ham will have no place in Gunners’ team for next season.
