Real Madrid play Schalke in Round of 16 clash of Champions League with 2-0 advantage from Germany.
Real Madrid won last season’s Champions League by beating Atletico Madrid 4-1 in the final and beat Schalke by 10-2 in the same round of fixtures at that time. Madrid, who are stumbling in the league after an excellent start are aiming to repeat last season’s feat by winning the Champions League two years in a row for the first time. Despite the loss against Athletic Bilbao in the league, Carlo Ancelotti might not change any personnel in the team and play the same lineup.
However, there are some good news from the injury front as Sergio Ramos looks to be back to training and Luka Modric is expected to start form the bench and feature in any part of the match. For Schalke, it has gone from bad to worse as they have almost half of their first team squad out injured and Kevin Prince Boateng is out suspended.
