Manchester United nearing summer transfer of Nigel de Jong after agreeing personal terms

After Louis Van Gaal took over Manchester United, Nigel De Jong’s move to Old Trafford looked like just a formality. but, due to sudden rise of Daley Blind in the World Cup, United preferred to sign Blind instead of De Jong considering the age factor and the fee involved too. Blind has been doing his duty well under Van Gaal but it seems the Dutch manager is keen to add up de Jong to his already expensive squad.

Reports from Italy suggest that De Jong has agreed three year contract which will see him earning 70 thousand pounds per week at Manchester. De Jong left to Milan after spending four seasons in Manchester, playing for Manchester United’ s rival Manchester City. De Jong played under Van Gaal in the national team and was one of the key players in the World Cup.
