Borussia Dortmund are not having a season they would have imagined when the season started. They were rooted to the bottom of the league through the halfway but they have resurrected after the turn of the year and are looking in good shape. Injuries and fitness problem hit the squad so hard that Klopp had to play lots of youngsters in the first team. But with players returning to fitness, the performance has been improving game by game.

To add to improving run of results, Marco Reus pleading his future to Borussia Dortmund by signing an extension and Hummels voicing the importance of the club means a lot. The fans stood by the team and the manager and the faith is being repaid well. If the squad carries on the momentum in the same way, they can even achieve European spot at the end of the season which was seen next to impossible through the midway of December.
