Harry Kane aims to continue hotshot Europa League campaign as Fiorentina arrive in London

Harry Kane was not such a big name as he is now when Tottenham began the season. Tottenham were said to be interested in various strikers at the start but none came and Pochettino was left with Soldado and Adebayor as the only recognized strikers. Harry Kane showed some character in the later stage of Premier League under Tim Sherwood. Sherwood’s work on Spurs’ academy products did help Pochettino to look forward to already impressive youth squad of Tottenham.

Like last season, both Soldado and Adebayor failed to stand upto the expectations from the manager and Pochettino gave Harry Kane a chance to impress. Kane scored in Europa League frequently and made  the striker’s position his own. He replicated the success in the Premier League and most notably starred in the London Derby against Chelsea. Such has been the improvement that he is now said to lead the English National Team squad in upcoming friendlies. The progress under Mauricio Pochettino has been excellent and we’ll have to see where it ends at the end of the season.
