Tottenham Hotspur and England U-21 striker Harry Kane has been awarded with Barclays Player of the Month Award from January. Kane was in top form throughout the month as he played a key role in Spurs’ ambition of getting Champions League Football at White Hart Lane next season.
Harry Kane scored five goals in four games played in January starting with a brace and an assist in London Derby against table toppers Chelsea. He was awarded man of the match in that match as well. Kane then scored away at Selhurst park but could not take his team to victory. Kane hit the post twice as Sunderland were defeated at the Lane and ended the month with a brace against West Brom to round off an excellent month.
Liverpool’s Emre Can, Santi Cazorla of Arsenal, Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle, Chelsea’ Oscar and Southampton skipper Jose Fonte were nominated for the award this month.
