Liverpool have made it clear that they have not made any attempt to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that the club will not be bringing any new player. Speaking about the transfer deals Liverpool are looking to make, Rodgers said that they won’t be making any attempts just yet.
“We will be very quiet. I said we are looking to keep all players here, it will be quiet. I think the players we have and the market dictates it. I am happy with the team and the way the squad is developing, we want to keep all the players here.
“Unless there’s something there we really believe then we don’t want to stop the development of out young players. Rather than look at bringing in a senior player we want to look within and look at the talents we have. You always have to look for that star quality, but if it’s not available you work with what you have.”
Daniel Sturrdige has returned from injury and scored in his comeback and Liverpool look like they will take that as the boost after transfer window.
