Ghana and Algeria play each other in group stage match of Africa Cup of Nations.

This is the fifth meeting between the sides in recent years. In the previous four meetings between the sides, Senegal have won one match while three matches have ended in a draw. South Africa have not won any matches. The most recent match between the sides ended in a goal-less draw. The teams faced each other in 2008 edition of AFCON as well and the match was 1-1 then.

Senegal won their first match of the tournament after striker Moussa Sow scored a late winner. Senegal stand second behind Algeria in the standings. South Africa are fourth in the table after losing out to Algeria by 3-1 in their opening match of AFCON 2014.

Team News:

Rivaldo Coetzee was substituted in the first half in the previous match against Algeria. The defender hurt his calf and is set to sit out of the match as he continues the recovery. Siyabonga Nhalapo will play in his place as he did as a substitute in previous match as well. Darren Keet will guard the posts after tragic death of their skipper few months ago. Tokelo Rantie and Bongani Ndulula will continue to lead the forward line for the Bafana Bafana.

Southampton star Sadio Mane has said that he is fit enough to play this match and manager Giresse might start him straight away. Mame Biram Diouf will continue to lead the line up front with Pape Diop and N’Doye partnering in attacking midfield with Mane. Gueye and Kouyate will continue to host the defensive midfield.
