Ghana and Algeria play each other in group stage match of Africa Cup of Nations.
Algeria stand at the top of the group with 3 points while Ghana are third in the table. Ghana lost to Senegal by 2-1 in their opening match while Algeria beat South Africa by 3-1. Silmani and Bentaleb were brilliant for Algeria and a win here could mean they will book their place into the next round of the tournament.
Team News:
Asamoah Gyan is a huge doubt for this match after he picked up a mild bout of Malaria. Gyan, who missed the first match of the tournament is not fully fit but might make an appearance in any stage of the game. Ghana are likely to play three man defence with Mensah, Amartey and Awal while attacking trio of Atsu and Ayew brothers will have a lot of responsibility if they are to produce anything from the match. In case Gyan is declared fit, Andre Ayew will drop deep in midfield and Ghana might have change of formation. Razak Brimah will continue to stay between the sticks on goal.
Algeria have no injury concern going into this game and could field an unchanged starting lineup. Gourcuff is likely to play the same team with abit more focus on the back considering the attacking strength of Ghana. Algeria are likely to deploy experienced defensive pair of Carl Medjani and Rafik halliche with Nabil Bentaleb playing just ahead of them. Rais M’bolhi will continue to guard the goal.
Probable Starting Lineup:
Ghana:
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Razak Brimah (GK), Mohammed Awal, Daniel Amartey, Jonathan Mensah: Baba Rahman, Mohammed Rabiu, Emmanuel Badu, Harrison Afful: Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew: Jordan Ayew
Algeria:
