Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella has said that Juan Cuadrado will not be joining Chelsea in the January transfer window, even if the London club triggers the release clause.
Chelsea’s chance of signing Juan Cuadrado seems to be over after Fiorentina Manager Vincenzo Montella spoke about the situation. The italian manager said that the colombian midfielder is not leaving and will stay with the club. The colombian winger has been linked with a move to Premier League club in recent times and was spotted in Chelsea’ match few days ago.
Cuadrado is one of the most important player in Fiorentina’s club campaign and he proved his worth with a goal against Atalanta few days ago too. Even though Chelsea were supposed to trigger the release clause, the latest words from the Manager means Chelsea will have to try in the summer or forget about signing the player in january.
Chelsea are closing in on signing of Serbian youngster Danilo Pantic. They have agreed a £1.25 million deal for the Partizan Belgrade midfielder who has come trough youth teams of Serbia. If the move comes through, the midfielder might be loaned out for the rest of the season to Vitesse Arnhem.
On the other hand, there are news circulating that Andre Schurrle is unhappy with his role in the squad and wants to leave. World Cup winning German winger has found his match time limited at Stamford Bridge. Despite getting goals and performing well, the former Leverkusen player has expressed his desire to go back to his home country. Wolfsburg are said to be interested in the player and are ready to pay the price that comes with it. Wolfsburg are preparing £23 million bid for the German International as per the reports in The Mail. Chelsea are asking at least £30 million for the player as he has contract till 2018 with the London based club.
