Liverpool and Chelsea play each other in the first leg of Semi-finals of Capital One Cup to be played at Anfield.

Team News:

Daniel Sturridge has resumed training but is not fit enough to return in match action just yet. Jon Flanagan is still out injured and will not be available for few more weeks. Brad Jones has picked up an injury which will keep him out of match action for about a month. Joe Allen is also sidelined with an injury and will not be available for selection. Kolo Toure is on international duty with Ivory Coast and will not be available for this match. Glen Johnson continues to recover from his injury with Mario Balotelli also not fully match fit. Steven Gerrard missed recent win over Aston Villa with a persistent hamstring problem but he could be drafted in the right forward role in which he has flourished in recent times.

Didier Drogba is injured and might not be risked with Loic Remy and Diego Costa both playing up well up front. Cesar Azpillicueta is also injured and will not be put into tough match straight away with Filipe Luis covering well instead of the Spanish international. Jose Mourinho might bring in young Frenchmen Kurt Zouma in place of Gary Cahill as manager looks to rotate the squad. Petr Cech will continue to guard the post ahead of Thibaut Courtois who is out injured and Mourinho might not play the Belgian just yet as the Czech international is deputizing very well.
