Saido Berahino has been pick of the names for West Brom this season and the new manager knows he must old to his best asset.
West Brom signed Brown Ideye last transfer window breaking their transfer record and hoped that the striker will fit in well and score in the Premier League. But, the story has not been as expected as the Nigerian has found it hard to break into the first team. Newly appointed manager Tony Pulis is now set to sell him to raise funds to spend. Ideye joined on a record 10 million pounds from Dynamo Kiev and has failed to replicate his goalscoring records.
On the other hand, Saido Berahino has been on top form this season. Even under Alan Irvine, the English U-21 striker is having a field time in front of goal. He started with a hat-trick last season and has followed up with consistent performance in the premier league which earned him a call up to senior English national squad as well.
His strong performances in the top league has raised eyebrows of many people with Liverpool and Tottenham reportedly chasing the signature of the youngster. Berahino has great technical mind in the game but has been troubled with his natics off the pitch. But as long as he gives his performance in the pitch and acts better, the future looks bright for the youngster.
If West Brom are to stave off relegation, which Tony Pulis’ previous side have always attained, Berahino’s decision to stay will be a great thing to start with. Pulis will try his best to keep his best player and boost up the team with some signings to make it easier for the youngster to act on. Letting go Ideye and adding up some talents in the squad is what Pulis must do next if he wants to keep improving his record as a top flight manager.
