Libor Kozak is out injured and will not be available for selection. Ciaran Clark is out suspended and will not feature in this match. New signing Carles Gil might go into the starting lineup straight away as Villa look bleak in the attacking third with current squad. Philippe Senderos is a huge doubt and might not be fit enough to start the match. Ron Vlaar is also injured and will not play any part in match action for few more weeks. Chris Herd is with Australia in Asia Cup duty and will not play few more games for Aston Villa.

Liverpool are struggling with injuries in their squad but have some good news from the medical room. Daniel Sturridge has returned to the training but might not be involved in the match action straight away. Raheem Sterling is back from his holiday and is likely to start the game out wide with Fabio Borini starting up front. Adam Lallana and Steven Gerrard are both struggling with injuries and will not play any part in this match.
