Wilfried Bony has completed his transfer to Manchester City after Swansea agreed transfer fee rumored to be around 25 million pounds with another 3 million on add-ons over four years. Bony has been handed No. 14 jersey previously used by Spanish Midfielder Javi Garcia for Manuel Pellegrini’s squad. Bony is currently away on International duty with Ivory Coast to play African Cup of Nations and will not be available until the tournament completes or if given Ivory Coast crash out of the competition.

Bony joins fellow Ivorian Yaya Toure in the already starred City squad with four-and-a-half year deal signed. Bony will earn around 100,000 pounds per week and is looking forward to life in Manchester.

‘It’s a great feeling for me, it’s a big honour to be here and it’s a great challenge,’ said Bony.
‘As a player it’s always good to be part of one of the biggest clubs in the world and it’s a good opportunity for me to be in that situation now – I’m really proud.
‘I felt excited to wait for this moment and now it’s come, it’s fantastic. I think it’s a great decision for me – Manchester City is in the Champions League. You remember at the end of last season I said that if I want to move it will be to a team in the competition because it’s a great tournament that I really want to play in and one that I want to win.
‘It’s a motivation for me to give my maximum to be in that place. City is a big club with great players with a lot of experience; I believe we can do it.’

Bony was Premier League’s top scorer in calender year of 2014 with 20 goals. Sergio Aguero had 18 while their City teammate Yaya Toure scored 17 goals last year. Another city payer, Dzeko wraps up the top five with 14 goals while Wayne Rooney is the only non-Manchester City player in the top five with 16 goals.
