FIFA has revealed the reserve team and the teams following that after votes calculated for the final Team of the Year.
The FIFA FIFPro World XI was announced in Ballon d’Or award ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland. The team was voted by the professional footballers around the world. Just like the Team of the Year, FIFA has revealed Reserve XI and the teams beyond reserve in accordance to the votes received by the players.
FIFA FIFPro World XI: Manuel Neuer: David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Sergio Ramos, Phillip Lahm: Toni Kroos, Andres Iniesta, Angel Di Maria: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arjen Robben
Reserve XI: Thibaut Courtois: Dani Alves, David Alaba,Mats Hummels, Marcelo: Luka Modric, Yaya Toure and Xabi Alonso: Suarez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Neymar
The third-string XI consists of: Iker Casillas; Pepe, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Vincent Kompany; Andrea Pirlo, Xavi, Paul Pogba; Diego Costa, Gareth Bale, Thomas Muller.
The fourth-string XI: Gianluigi Buffon; Diego Godin, Jerome Boateng, Branislav Ivanovic, Javier Mascherano; James Rodriguez, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Eden Hazard; Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski, Sergio Agüero.
The fifth-string XI: Claudio Bravo, Dani Carvajal, Filipe Luis, Raphael Varane, Pablo Zabaleta; Cesc Fabregas, Arturo Vidal, Mesut Ozil; Marco Reus, Franck Ribery, Wayne Rooney.
Out of the 55 players involed in the five teams, Real Madrid have 12 players while Barcelona and Bayern Munich have 10 inclusions each. Chelsea are represented by six players while their cross city rival Arsenal have none. Manchester City have four players in the lineups.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or for the second consecutive year while James Rodriguez took away the FIFA Puskas Award. The award is given to the best goal of the year and Colombian International scored an excellent volley against uruguay in World Cup to take away the award. He beat Stephanie Roche and Robin Van Persie to win the award. Van Persie scored the diving header against Spain in world cup.
