With one and half months to remain for the January transfer window to open, the transfer links are already flooding and with Liverpool failing to perform to their par, the reds have been highly linked to the players who could bring the fortune back for the kopites. Failing to impress in the first quarter of the season, Brendan Rodgers is expected to bring couple of players to improve their current performance that sees them in the mid table with just four victories in 11 matches so far.
Marco Reus
The Dortmund star remains the high profile player who is expected to Bundesliga exit this summer. However with Dortmund struggling, they expect not to let go the 25 years old German. With top clubs like Chelsea, Barcelona interested, the possibilities of German to join Brendan Rodger’s side only depends on a higher bid, a bigger offer and interest for the German to join the reds. Reus has been highly linked with Liverpool, however the fate of the 25 years old will be decided until the end of the January transfer, if he stays at Dortmund, joins Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid or any other club.
Andre Schurrle
According to Express, Liverpool are expected to launch £25million bid for the 24 years old world cup winner who could see his time limited at Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho. With Hazard, Fabregas, Oscar ahead in the pecking order and should the 25 years old German Marco Reus join the blues, Jose Mourinho will let go the out of favor Schurrle.
However the race to sign the 24 years will be a competitive one for Liverpool with Tottenham keeping a close eye in the situations.
Jackson Martinez
With current transfer rumors, Liverpool fans believe that the Porto man could be an ideal choice to end up goals drought for Liverpool. Sturridge’s return and Martinez’s incoming could sort out the striking crisis for the reds with Balotelli, Borini and Lambert all struggling to find the nets for the reds. The 28 years old Colombia costs £30m, however he may be out of Rodgers’ transfer strategy but reds must restrain to solve the crisis and achieve champions league spot. However with Origi keen to return back in Summer and Sturridge near to his return for the club, Rodgers’ might not consider a move for Martinez as a temporary solution at such hefty fees.
The reds are expected to battle against Arsenal, for the Colombian front man.
Martin Montoya
Another man linked for a move to Anfield this January transfer window is Barcelona right back Martin Montoya. The 23 years old right back has struggled to find a regular place for the Spanish side. The 23 years old was in Rodger’s radar last season and could be a sign of interest when the transfer window opens in January, however a move could be a loan deal.
