Italian Manager Antonio Conte has called up Mario Balotelli into the national squad despite dip in form.
Former AC Milan and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has been called into the Italian squad by Anotnio Conte. Balotelli, who currently plays for Liverpool has not scored a single league goal while he has gotten two goals in cup games.
The 24-year old striker has not played a single game for the Azzuri since his showing in the recently held World Cup in Brazil. Balotelli has scored 13 goals in 33 appearances for his country. This is his first call up into the squad after his 16 million pounds move from AC Milan to Liverpool this summer.
Balotelli is joined by fellow Premier League forward Graziano Pelle in the squad. Pelle has been in great touch this season as he has scored more than 10 goals for his club already. Pelle signed for Southampton from Feyenoord earlier this summer after Ronald Koeman made the same journey from the Netherlands to England.
