Sandip Rai: “New striking combination did not work well”

Three Star Club were defeated 1-0 against APF in second match of ANFA Knockout Cup Football Tournament.

Ranjan Bista’s last minute winner helped APF to beat Three Star in the match held at Dasarath Stadium today. Captain Sandip Rai of Three Star pointed out the lack of combination between new players in attacking third meant they could not scored any goals.

‘Armed Police Force are very hardworking team and they played very well to win the match. We could not finish the game when chances came and had to pay for it.’, said Rai.

‘Our strikers were poor today and they must improve if we are to get the results. The team is new and we must work on well in coming days and achieve our targets.’
