Nigeria and Argentina play each other in their final Group F Match of World Cup 2014.
In the last five meetings between the sides, Nigeria have managed to register a victory once while Argentina have won four of them. Nigeria have scored six goals and conceded eight goals in the process. The most recent match between the team ended 3-1 in favor of Argentina where Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria were amongst the scorer.
Argentina are through to the next round of the World Cup after winning two matches in a row. They defeated Bosnia Herzegovina by 2-1 and then beat Iran by 1-0 with help of last minute goal from their skipper Lionel Messi.
Nigeria have hopes of making it to the next round as they play Argentina. Nigeria defeated Bosnia by 1-0 in their previous match where Goalkeeper Eneyama was in excellent form and they will need him to produce similar performance if they are to see out Argentina. They are yet to concede a goal in this World Cup.
Team News:
Coach Alejandro Sabella might opt to give his fringes player some chance having already secured the position i n the next round. Rodrigo Palacio and Ezequiel Lavezzi might replace the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain from the last match.
Godfrey Obabona missed the previous game due to ankle injury and could be benched for this match too. They are likely to field the same lineup as in the last game as they were balanced in both the field in that game.
