South Korea and Algeria play each other in second match of Group H in World Cup 2014.

South Korea vs Algeria : Preview and Probable Starting Lineup

This is the first meeting between the sides and both are into the match with a win in their minds. Failure to win will mean that the tournament is almost over for either of the sides with other teams in the group accumulating more points than they have mustered.

Algeria lost out to an inspiring comeback from Belgium in the previous match. Despite being in the lead via Sofiane Feghouli’s penalty in first half, they cold not get anything out of the match. Maroune Fellaini scored the equalizer with a header in 70th minute and Dries Mertens scored the winner ten minutes from time.

South Korea played a 1-1 draw against Russia in their first match. Lee-Keun Ho’s goal in 68th minute put Korean team in front but Alexander Kerzhakov scored the equalizer after eight minutes to break Korean heart. Heung Min Son looked lively and will be pushed further forward in attacking role to get into full effect in this match.

Team News:

Lee Keun-Ho might start the match ahead of Park Chu Young after he came on to score the leading goal in previous match. Park Chu Yung was criticized a lot for his performance and could not appear again in this tournament. Head coach Hong Myung-Bo might not make further changes but could ask Heung min Son to push ahead as he looked good in front of goal in previous match.

Algeria could field the same lineup after the team played well against Belgium in the previous match. Nabil Ghilas came off the bench in the match against Belgium and could not do anything special so the coach might still bench him and play Soudani up front on his own.

Probable Starting Lineup:
