ANFA will be organizing Coca Cola Inter School Football Tournament 2071 to begin from 13th June
The first stage of the tournament, which will be inaugurated on 13thJune, 2014, would be played in the district itself (except for Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) and the winners will subsequently be qualified for the regional level and the winners of the regional stage will later play the national level championship. Schools across the nation can contact their nearest ANFA-associated forums for participating in the tournament. It has been estimated that at least 15 schools will be participating from each of the 42 districts.
The winner of the boy’s category would be awarded Rs 300,000 and the first, second and third runner ups would receive Rs 150,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. Similarly, in the girls category the winner would receive Rs 200,000 while the first, second and third runner up will receive Rs 100,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. The best player in each positions will be awarded Rs. 10,00 eacha nd trophy while the best coach will be awarded Rs. 5000.
All the games played outside the Kathmandu valley will be knockouts, and will be played from June7, 2014 to August 12014 in 42 different districts. The district level knockout matches for schools participating from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will be conducted at Sano Gaucharan Football ground where the teams will be divided into 4 groups. A total of 1111 schools had participated in the girl’s category last year and ANFA aims to incorporate at least 1500 schools this year. The winners of the district level tournament will get to play in the regional level and 12-16 teams from the regional level will be selected for the final leg.
The estimated budget of the tournament if Rs 12,000,000 out of which, Coca-Cola would be providing Rs 5,000,000 and the Ministry for Youth and Sports would be providing Rs 2,000,000 and the rest of the money would be provided by ANFA. The winners of the district and regional winners will be provided the bus fare and lodging fare to come to Kathmandu for the national level competition
