Nepal Sports Journalists Forum [NSJF] are organizing ‘Pulsar Sports Award 2070’ on 1st June, 2014 (18th Jestha, 2071).
NSJF are organizing this sports award for a decade now and the 2070 edition will be held on 1st of June 2014. In the Announcement Ceremony held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza today, NSJF announced that they will be awarding in eight categories like last year and will include a surprise award which will be announced on the day of program.
There will be nominations for Pulsar Best Male Player, Pulsar Best Female Player, Best Young Player, Best Coach, and Popular Player of the Year. Five nominees for each categories will be announced soon. The winner of Best Para-athlete, Lifetime achievement award and Special Award will be revealed on the day of award ceremony.
The winner of Pulsar Best Male Player, Pulsar Best Female player and Popular Player of the Year will receive a Pulsar motorcycle while the remaining winners will be awarded with a trophy, prize and Rs. 50,000. The nominees for all the award will be presented with trophy and prize.
Bajaj Pulsar is the main sponsor of this award ceremony and they will be providing Rs. 1.2million for this year’s award. This is the sixth year where Pulsar is sponsoring the event. Executive Director of Hansraj Hulaschand & Company Pvt Ltd, Shekhar Golchha said that they are looking forward to increasing the sponsorship amount as well as the tenure of the collaboration.

The award ceremony will be handed out on the basis of SMS votes and Facebook likes once the nominees are announced. However, the weight of the votes are yet to be finalized.
