10th Bhimanarayan Gold Cup to begin from Today

The 10th edition of Martyr Bhimnarayan International Invitational GoldCup Football tournament is set to start from Wednesday.

The organizing committee of the tournament held a press conference on Tuesday and finalized the date and venue of the tournament. There are eight teams participating along with a team from Bhutan. The tournament matches will be played on local Tundikhel ground in a knock out format.
The teams participating in the tournament are:
1. Dhankuta [Organizers]
2. Fans BRT (Bhutan)
3. Nepal APF
4. Birtamod Youth Club, Jhapa
5. African United
6. United Sporting Club, Morang
7. AFC Kathmandu
8. New Star Club, Sunsari

The inaugural game of the tournament will be played between Nepal APD and defending champion Birtamod Youth Club. Birtamod are in a hat-trick having won the tournament in 2068 and 2069 edition too. Nepal APF lost to Birtamod in semis last year when Birtamod booked their final berth winning the match 4-3.

The estimated budget of the torunment in 16 Lakhs 50 Thousand rupees.
