Former Nepalese International Lok Bahadur Shahi was honored with Sarad Chandra Shah Memorial Football Prize 2070 on Monday.

Former Nepalese International Lok Bahadur Shahi was honored with Sarad Chandra Shah Memorial Football Prize 2070 on Monday.
Lok Bahadur Shahi was honored by Sarad Chandra Shah Memorial Football Prize 2070 on a programme held at ANFA Complex today. He was important member of the team that brought the SAFF Gold Medal home. He also pointed out that Football is developing rapidly day by day and people are thinking of their career in Football alone.
‘The environment has been drastically changed and president Ganesh Thapa deserves a lot of credit for what is going on in Nepalese Football’, said Shahi. He said that the prize money and the level of competition and popularity of sports all over the country easily determines the change in viewpoint of the sports among the civilians. ‘The facilities that is being provided to the players are getting better and so is the performance in the pitch’, quoted Lok Bahadur Shahi.
‘I was awarded the best player of ANFA Cup back in 2043BS and during that time Kamal Thapa was Presient of ANFA and Sarad Chandra Shah was President of Nepal Sports Council and both were there at the dias. I am feeling nostalgic now and both of them have done a lot for the sports develoment in the country’, said Shahi.
He also promised that he will dedicate his upcoming days for the sake of development of Nepalese Football in every way possible.
