NPC Coach Birat Krishna Shrestha was not happy with the performance as they beat CMG Sankata 2-0 in the inaugural match of the Super League.
‘We played unprofessional football in the first half and gave them the ball way too much. Second half though was a bit better with some good football with the ball.”, he said.
NPC Coach Shrestha also said they failed to put pressure on their opponent who came to a point, but not a win and tried to keep NPC attacks on bay throughout the game. ” They played defensively and we couldn’t penetrate the defense at that stage and it is the only way we have looked at their excellent defensive strategy”, he quoted.
“I expected to lead through a dead-ball situation and the same happened. We failed to utilize corners and freekick but after Jumanu went on we finally got the breakthrough”
” Our win means Three Star and Manang now have a must win situation and the league will have an interesting finish if all the teams play as expected”, he ended.
He also said that Jumanu is not fully fit due to an ankle injury and will go through a fitness test ahead of the next match to see whether he can start or not.
