Bishal’s goal sealed three points for white lions

NMB Bank Machhindra FC registered 1-0 win over Samsung JYC in the second match of the day. Bishal Rai scored only goal of the match in the first half of the incoming assist of Karna Limbu. With three added points white lions finished the first phase of the league in fifth position.

Samsung JYC had some chances in their starting line up from the last matches as regular goalie Bikes Kuthu was replaced by former u-16 national team goalie Birendra Chand. Machhindra come into this game as favorites to get into Super League as they just needed to avoid anything but a heavy loss to book their places. Jawalakhel in other hand had mathematical chances and will need to register a heavy win to make a place.
In this match the fastest yellow card in the tournament came out in 23rd second as Saurav Magar of Samsung JYC was booked. White lions were fully dominating the match but were failing to utilize the goal scoring opportunities as Karna, Zaza and Uttam on numerous occasions. The only goal threat of Samsung JYC came in the 26th minute as Elvis header hits the crossbar.

The first and only goal of the match came on the 41th minute as Jawalkhel lost possession in the center of the field and Karna started the run with the ball and passed it to Bishal Rai just inside the box who sat in with immense power in the open goal.

In second half Sarbittam Tulahdra missed to add a goal in open header while Zaza missed two easy long range scoring opportunity. Both teams failed to make any impressive move further in the second half. Some of the shots from the white lions were beautifully disturbed by young Jawalakhel goalie.
