After they start to loose out on the Egyptian winger Salah, Liverpool are bound with the 22 years old Bayern Munich attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.
Although the red boss Brendan Rodgers cleared it that that they would not give up in their long time pursuit Salah, the agreement was already announced both in Chelsea and Basel official medias.
Chelsea are expected to snub a deal for Egyptian starlet Mohamen Salah as the replacement of two times Chelsea player of the year Juan Mata who joined Manchester United in the red devil’s record signing deal.
As the Salah possibilities looked narrow, Liverpool are linked with the Swiss Internation Sxherdan Shaqiri who is well capable to contribute in Liverpool’s Champions league chase.
The winger has been a long time chase for Liverpool as they also were linked with him in the summer before the start of the season.
The 22 year old Switzerland international is capable to playing up wide or behind the striker and is young which makes him a complete fit for Brendan Rodger’s squad who is also in hope for signing a defensive midfielder as Lucas has been sidelined long for injury.
Although Shaqiri joined Bayern from Basel, the youngster has failed to get ample of playing times under the European champions so far and could make his way to Anfield for a regular playing time and boost up Rodger’s injury hit squad.
With lots of injuries in count, Rodgers is left with very little to choose from and is concerned about couple of signings. He is intended to chase Shaqiri if he misses on Salah, the hope remains very minimum for the Egyptian starlet.
Shaqiri has already made 34 league appearances for Bayern Munich on which he has netted six times. He has been capped 30 times by the Switzerland National Football team and has booted the back of the net eight times.
