Third edition of Chelsea Nepal futsal completed

As an ever growing fan base of one of England’s and now world’s leading football club, Chelsea Nepal have been organizing regular meets among fans. Such meetings are often on the turf for Futsal games or live screenings where around a figure of 100 or above of participation are seen. Chelsea Nepal is also first football fan club of Nepal.

Continuing on the same path, a futsal program was organized on August 24. Six teams participated in the events. Each team had eight players, and the tournament was held on league –cum-knock out basis. The event got a huge appreciation from all the fellow members. AviralGhimire grabbed the “Emerging player” award, while SagarMalla grabbed the “best player of the tournament” award. An exhibition match of our ladies members was organized in the occasion, as well.

Futsal event has recently been vowed as a successful program to unite the blues in Nepal. Decided as a regular monthly event, the recent was the third edition of its type. For the time being, just concentrated within Kathmandu, the program needs to find ways to get into the blues outside the valley.

Chelsea Nepal is one of the many such fan clubs, but lately has been the most active and happening in terms of various events. With the lead of various influencing figures, there are other major plans in process. This group of blue enthusiasts will be celebrating their 5^th anniversary soon.

Chelsea Nepal was established in 2008, September 5 and is the official supporters club of Chelsea FC, London, in Nepal, recognized by the club itself.
