First Womens League to be Held

ANFA conducted the press meet today at Dasrath Stadium meeting hall to announce the date and prize money of First womens League Football Tournament.

* Tournament will be held from Mangshir 30th to Poush 14 in Dhangadi.

* Two games will be conducted per day and tournament will be held in round robin basis.

* Eight teams to participate in the tournament which includes Five development region teams and three departmental teams.

* Cash Prizes: 3 lakh for First, 1.5 lakh for Second, 75 Thousand for Third, 50 Thousand for Fourth, Twenty Five thousands for best players which includes Goalkeeper, Defender, Forward, Mid Fielder and Coach. Best womens player of tournament will be awarded a scooter.

* Total estimated expenditure of the tournament 47 lakhs.

* Western Union is major sponsor of the tournament. The sponsorship deal is 6 lakhs per year. The term is done for the three years.
