Sankata makes quarterfinal chances strong

CMG Sankata beat Mahindra Bansbari 1-0 after Kabbu Rai scored in fifth minute of the match. 

CMG Sankata has made their chances of qualifying into next round of the ncell cup strong after beating Mahindra Bansbari 1-0 in their last match of the group stage . Bansbari loss all three matches and were able to score only one goal through out the three matches.

Sankata takes control of the match from the very first minute. They create continuous attack in Bansbari’s post but keeper Ajeet was standing as a wall for them. In the fifth minute of the match Kabbu Rai scored in header which touch the thumbs of Ajeet but he failed to catch it and it bounced to the goal post. Bansbari were unable to settle in the match as Sankata were heavy in the both half of the ground. Sankata dominates the first half but scored remains same from the fifth minute.

Sankata started second half well but in the second quarter of the second half Bansbari were looking dangerous but Sankata were organized in defense. In the dying moment of the match Sankata’s Ritesh Shrestha failed to score in one on one against Bansbari’s keeper. Both teams failed to grab good goal scoring opportunities through out the match. Match ended as 1-0 as both teams failed to score in the second half.

Next match of this group will be played between RCT and Himalayan Sherpa.
