Nepal offloads Pakistan comfortably after Jamuna Gurung scores more than a hat-trick to steal the performance at Colombo.
Jamuna Gurung’s four goal assisted Nepal to register an easy in the first match of Group ‘B’ of the second SAFF Women’s Championship. Jamuna netted all four goals in the first half as Nepal were already 6-0 up in the first module of the game. Other goals came from Anu Lama, Sajana Rana and Dipa Adhakari to finalize the score 8-0.
Although Nepal started with an error in the defense line in few minutes of the take off, the rest of the match was all in Nepal’s side when the goals galore started in 9 minute of the game after Nepalese skipper Jamuna found back into the net on Dipa Adhikari’s cross.
On their previous meeting, Nepal had already thrashed Pakistani Nepalese team 12-0 back in first SAFF Women’s Championship.
Nepal will play Maldives on 10th September in their second group stage match.
